Good Day to all,
I am seeking the position of assistant electrician/electrical cadet in your company where i can use my skills and knowledge. I am presently employed in a 15 megawatt wartsila diesel (bunker fired) power plant landbased. I am a duty shift engineer/electrician since January 2009. This is not a seabase experience, but this is very similar to a ship’s power system, we operate seven wartsila and one caterpillar diesel generating sets with different rated kilowatt power output to generate electricity. We supply power to a private manufacturing company under a Build-Operate-Transfer scheme. I am willing to undergo any maritime training to acquire a new challenging electrical position onboard. Sir,

Hopefully my 10 years of experienced in maintenance of precision equipment (which includes electronics, mechanical, robotics, and pneumatics) from semiconductor company, 4.5 years of computer repairs & services, plus 4yrs of ROV piloting and maintenance would be a leverage for your consideration or your client consideration.
My present work is in Subse7 which is involved subsea construction , pipe laying and survey. With my stay on seven seas for almost 2 yrs let me earn a 155hrs of flying hrs. I learned a lot on Tether management and tooling handling using 5 and 7 functions Shilling robotic arms. Preventive and sustaining maintenance of Hercules on electrical and hydraulics is also part of my job. A constant change of tooling and survey equipments let us do some small fabrication and rework for mounting base. During launching and recovery I always and almost every time act as a deck officer.
My 2nd job was in France working on CT2 ROV (cable laying type of ROV capable of 2meters cable burial)at c/v Brehat. During my stay here I become keen on trouble shooting SMD systems, Kongsberg camera, TSS 340/350, Datasonic PS900, and clearcom. I had also the opportunity to performed the Umbilical (electrical) re-termination when we had a 3300V problem. We are on standby and on-call status so we spend most of our time doing the preventive maintenance on the ROV. Helping or providing assistance to the mechanical guys are also common and frequent. I served them from February 1 to July 20, 2008 and earn 30hrs of flying time on this contract.
My first job as Apprentice ROV Pilot Technician was from Rock dumping operation at m/v
Nordnes at North sea. I served them from August 6 - October 12, 2007. The ROV was in operation for 24/7 And I earn 50hrs of flying time.
My training for Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle Pilot Technician has been done at IDESS Maritime Centre, Subic last Jan. 29 to Feb. 16. My training was in accordance with IMCA define standard for ROV Pilot Technician. I did 3 weeks of classroom training,
including 30 actual dives and 98 hours of flying time with 2 ROVs (SeaBotix LBV300 and NAVAJO). I earn 98 hrs of flying time on this training.
Visa available are the ff:
• US Visa - B1 with annotation of OCS and expiration date of September 29, 2014
• Angola Visa – VWK type and expiration date of November 24, 2011
• Australia Visa – Class UC Temporary Residence; SubClass 457 (15 Oct 2012)

Im applying for a third engineer position in an offshore vessel, but i have no experience or any training with regards to the said vessel,, is there any company there who are intersted in hiring me? I have experience in different kinds of vessel namely- PCC, BULK, LPG and im currently on board to an LNG carrier. I will appreciate much if given a chance to be part of your company. |
